I rarey use the built-in text effect inside the after effect . I prefer animated the text by my own style. This is what i done after I done the research on youtube. I watch as many as I can learn . Below is the video /short animation of the text that I learn from the youtube tutorial.
1.First thing first is type a text . After that using pen tool to trace the edge of every single text . Try to use creative way while tracing the word for example it is started from the middle to left or from left to middle after that go down and out of the frame . Play with it ! It's fun !
2.By creating a lot of line,it will be look really cool when comes to animating part. After done tracing the text , apply trim path on one of the layer (Line) . Therefore ,thee is a short cut which you can just copy the trim path effect and then just paste it to the another layer !
3.Finally , duplicated the whole composition and then changed the line color to red or the color that you want . Finished ! Simple right ?
